Tastings in Florence, among the authentic flavours of the estate

Amid the neatly ordered olive groves and vineyard rows that trace the hillsides, the Tenuta Tolomei estate preserves the bucolic soul of the villa. Here is born Villa Tolomei’s extra virgin olive oil, among the finest IGP Tuscan oils — awarded for its quality and its ability to fully express the unique character of this land. Pressed on the same day as harvest, using only locally grown olives.

Alongside oil production are the estate’s wines. Rosso Tolomei, rich and enveloping, stands out for its fruity and spicy notes. Rosé Tolomei, refined and persistent, is made from Sangiovese vinified as a white, while Bianco Tolomei, from Chardonnay grapes, surprises with its freshness and lingering finish.

Both oil and wine can be purchased directly at the villa or enjoyed at Il Conventino a Marignolle, during specially arranged dinners and guided tastings. A unique way to discover and take home some of Florence’s finest local products.
